Welcome to Axiom Teaching!
I started Axiom Teaching when I realized that the years of teaching experience and heaps of lesson plans I had created could be used to help others avoid the biggest problem I had run into throughout my career. I loved teaching, and I still do, but the toll it took on me for years was disheartening.
There Aren't Enough Hours in the Day
For much of my career, time was my enemy. I knew my material well, but I needed resources for my students that were helpful, engaging, and unique to my class. Stock resources from textbooks weren't going to cut it. I wanted to make sure the interesting conversation started in class yesterday would continue in tomorrow's discussion. So, for many years, going to bed before midnight was a luxury. I always prepared quality lessons, yes, but I did it at the expense of my health, my happiness, and later, time with my family. It’s the dark side of teaching: to prepare quality material for our lessons, the one resource we need in excess is time, something very few of us have in reserve.
All Problems Have Solutions
Over time, I compiled all of my ideas for lessons into one area. Now, when I teach a novel, introduce a time period, or discuss a religion, I have a dozen options that have worked in years prior in one place. There is no one-size-fits-all solution for my classroom, because no class is the same. The solution for so many of the time-related issues in the teaching profession isn’t a temporary band aid—it’s an entire unit’s worth or year’s worth of material, designed in such a way that allows teachers to piece together unique lesson plans, not follow a single script.
Teaching is All About Adaptability

My hope is to help others avoid the late nights and coffee-drenched mornings that had drained me for so many years. All of my resources are available on TPT (Teachers Pay Teachers). Each lesson plan is sold with multiple options for discussions, essays, projects, PowerPoints, activities, quizzes, and reading guides, (and whatever else I've used over the years!) and are sold as Google resources so that they can be edited. The point of offering so much material isn’t that I think teachers will use all of it—it’s that every teacher has a different style and a different student body. By offering a variety of teaching options, you, the teacher, will be able to mix and match ideas to best fit your classroom’s needs on the fly, and year to year, you can use different materials as your students change.
Are You Getting More Sleep?
If you have found a resource helpful in saving you time and energy, please leave a 5 star review on the resource. These allow other teachers to find the product more easily, and are helpful feedback for me. If you aren’t entirely happy with your resource, feel free to contact me directly at axiomteaching@gmail.com. I will gladly work with you to solve any problems, or issue a refund if you find that the resource is not able to fill your needs.
Questions? Suggestions?
This is not a company – Axiom Teaching is just me, providing you with the resources I have found effective in my classroom over the years. If you have any questions, please reach out to me on TPT or contact me at axiomteaching@gmail.com and I will get back to you ASAP. I enjoy hearing your ideas, too—what resources would you like to see in the future?
More to Come!
I am still in the classroom, and as I continue to teach new material, I add resources to TPT. Plus, I am still organizing and uploading my back catalog. As I add material, I add it to existing bundles where pertinent—and those who have already bought those bundles get those resources at no extra cost.
